Community Critique Night
Every fourth Thursday of the month, 6-8pm
If you're a local artist/writer/maker seeking a space where you can discuss what you create and look at others' work, join us for critique night! We'll be providing each other with critical feedback, sharing food and drink, and creating a positive and thoughtful atmosphere for challenging each other in the work we make. Open to public. Drop-ins welcome.

Gaulimaufry: a jumble of art, writing, and fun!
with Isabelle Von Sturm-Day
Monday-Friday, June 19-23, 2017
9:00 am – 12:00 pm
Join us for a week of fun using art and words fused together to create amazing stories! Students may illustrate their own poetry, design the packaging for a new food they've invented, and give life to an adjective (what is Funny's favorite color?). We'll use writing in combination with mixed media methods, collage, and more to explore the playful possibilities of storytelling.
with Emily Jalinsky & Kalmia Strong
Kindergarten - Grade 2
Monday-Friday, July 17-21, 2017
9:00 am – 12:00 pm
Who would you be as a superhero? This camp will answer that question while exploring character development, visual design, and storytelling. We will address alternative representations of superheroes and social issues that students care about, with an emphasis on accountability, self-empowerment, and social justice. Each student will imagine a superhero alter-ego unique to their own interests, creating a costume and written story for their character.
workshop cancellation/refund policy: If the IC Press Co-op cancels a workshop for any reason, students enrolled in the workshop are entitled to a full refund or may transfer the full tuition to another workshop. If a student needs to cancel their enrollment in a workshop, they may do so up to 3 days (72 hours) before the workshop is scheduled to begin*. Students can request a full refund minus a $10 administrative fee or they may transfer the full amount credited to any upcoming workshop. Students wishing to cancel after the 3-day cut-off are not eligible for a refund or transfer of funds. *Some workshops may have earlier registration/cancellation deadlines, which will be noted in the workshop description.
